Help Indiana GROW
We are on a mission to create a brighter future for Indiana.
By converting renewable resources into clean energy and other valuable goods, we can bring our vision of a cleaner and more affordable future to life.
It is the responsibility of Indiana Ethanol Producers Association to provide all Indiana citizens with access to information and to promote an understanding of these principles, and to educate Hoosiers about the positive impact clean energy has on our state.

Ethanol in Indiana
Ethanol is an advanced biofuel that we use every day and is moving America forward. It is good for vehicle performance, good for the environment, and good for our wallets.
• Indiana has an annual production capacity of approximately 1.2 billion gallons annually and ranks 5th in the country in ethanol production.
• In addition to ethanol, Indiana’s bioprocessing facilities also produce 3.2 million tons of DDGs, a high protein animal feed and approximately 180 million pounds of industrial corn oil. Many facilities produce additional co-products like beverage grade carbon dioxide or hand sanitizer.
• Indiana has an annual production capacity of approximately 1.2 billion gallons annually and ranks 5th in the country in ethanol production.
Ethanol accounts for the use of nearly half of Indiana’s annual corn crop. Protecting and growing the industry is crucial for Hoosier farmers and the rural economy.
• The ethanol industry contributes over $1 billion to the gross state product annually and supports over 12,000 jobs in Indiana alone, according to an ABF Economics study.
• In 2017, the industry had a combined economic activity totaling over $2.5 billion, when accounting for sales of ethanol, DDGS, and corn oil and their induced effects.
• Ethanol is an earth-friendly biofuel that cuts carbon emissions by an average of 43 percent – a number that is expected to increase with ongoing innovations.
